The Farmhouse grounds is a property that has been family owned since it was built in 1870. The last family member moved off of the property in the 1970’s, and the house was then a rental property until the end of 2003. Soon after, repairs began on the farmhouse and the original outside buildings. After much prayer, God led me to share this beautiful property with others and begin a wedding venue. The Farmhouse Weddings, LLC hosted its first wedding on July 21, 2011 and has been going strong since then. A sixth generation family member currently works on the property and shares the desire to leave a lasting legacy to the next generation. Each and every wedding is our favorite! We have been blessed with so many wonderful bride and groom couples. Each wedding has its own unique atmosphere so it’s hard to choose a favorite!
A deposit and base rental fee are due 3 months prior to the wedding date. If the wedding date is booked less than 3 months prior, a payment plan can be setup with The Farmhouse Weddings. We do suggest booking early if you have a date in mind, and tours are available year round to view the farmhouse, ceremony barn, reception barn and more.
The tables, chairs, linens, plates, goblets, flatware, many vintage pieces, wedding decor and more are included in our base rental fee. The Farmhouse staff also does all the setup and teardown for each wedding event so you don’t have to! We also greet each wedding vendor on the day of the event because our goal is to provide a stress-free wedding day! The Farmhouse Weddings offers many unique rental items to help couples customize their weddings. Some of rental items include a photo wall with props, hay bale couch, large farmhouse window, and a rustic sweetheart table. Prior to each event our staff communicates with the couple to plan and create a dream wedding, and then we take care of the setup and teardown so the bride & groom can enjoy their day.
The Farmhouse venue also hosts dinners, showers, parties and other events that offer a secluded setting surrounded by farmland. We are offering new wedding packages for 2017, including small, intimate ceremonies. One package includes a Sunday wedding in the Ceremony barn for up to 75 guests, and is offered on select Sundays from June through September. Another new package is offered from November through April, and includes a wedding ceremony for up to 50 people inside the farmhouse. The Farmhouse also hosts rehearsal dinners and bridal showers. If you want to experience the unique ambiance offered by The Farmhouse, but aren’t able to schedule your wedding or reception at our venue, consider scheduling the venue to host an event in coordination with your wedding plans.
The outside ceremony barn and reception barn can accommodate up 200 guests, while the farmhouse can accommodate up to 50 people. The Farmhouse venue is unique because the buildings were all built in 1870 and are original to the property. The buildings have been maintained to showcase the original hand hewn beams with wooden pegs, wood floors, shiplap, slate and other carpentry materials used in the 1870s.

A Special note from the Bride
‘When my husband and I first got engaged, I spent hours upon hours searching for venues around us that I could picture myself marrying the love of my life at. None of the venues that I found really stuck out to me, and many of the tours that we went on were very disappointing. Finally, we came across The Farmhouse. I emailed Deb, the owner of The Farmhouse, and she got back to me within the same day. We set up a tour, and I knew immediately that that’s where I wanted to get married. The grounds are gorgeous, the barn is absolutely beautiful, and I have no words to describe the beauty inside the Farmhouse itself. Deb was so kind and made me feel so important. She was excited to hear about Derek & I, and asked us a lot of questions, even though she must hear couple’s stories every day of her life, I would’ve thought she was a family member because she was so excited for us. When it came time to set a date, she laid all of the policies out to us and made everything very clear. We were not caught off guard by any part of the process because we knew exactly what to expect from the day we signed the papers and put down the deposit to reserve the date. I could go on and on about all of the ways that Deb made me feel so calm leading up to my wedding. On the days leading up to our wedding, The Farmhouse staff contacted all of our vendors, set everything up with them, and took a huge load off of our shoulders. During our rehearsal, they helped us decide on so many little details that I hadn’t even thought about, and we found it so helpful. On our actual wedding day, it was raining, and the Farmhouse staff all held umbrellas and helped the bridal party in and out of buildings. They ran errands for us when things needed done, they directed people, and most importantly, when I had completely forgotten to eat and thought I was going to faint, Deb scrounged up food for me last minute before I walked down the aisle. They were so supportive and so amazing, all on top of having one of the most beautiful venues that I have seen. We would highly recommend The Farmhouse to others, as they helped us have the most wonderful day of our lives’. – Megan Richard
